Principal Ellen Pye introduced physical education to Toorak College in the early 1900s.  By the 1920s sporting traditions were deeply embedded in the school’s culture.

Sports facilities dominated the 1927 plans for the ‘new’ Toorak College in Mount Eliza.  This original ‘playing field’ has witnessed countless sporting and recreational events.
