The original Norman Carson Library was built on this site in 1960  which ended decades of temporary locations around the school.

Sir Norman Carson was a parent at the school, a founding director in 1927, and long-serving member of the School Council.  His daughter, Barbara Frankenberg, also gave decades of service to the school.
